Am I crazy or is this a new feature on the DVC website. Maybe a product of the recent downtime when they were performing maintenance. I clicked on a room that I was considering booking, then changed my mind, closed the safari app on my phone, and went about my business. A little later I reopened safari and saw this page below:
I’m pretty sure I closed the screen for like an hour, so I’m not sure what the deal was with the 20 minute timer showing that only 5 minutes had passed, but regardless, I’ve never seen this before, ever. So anyone looking for that room on that date saw no availability while it just sat in limbo in my “cart.” Definitely interesting.
Has anyone seen this before? I’ve seen it twice in 24 hours now and had never seen it previously in years of availability stalking. It used to be that if I didn’t click through all the reservation screens really fast, a room could be snatched out from under me while filling in my address or something.
